What will you do to prepare my apartment before I move in?

Before moving in, we will use our Theory of Left technique which consists of viewing your home from several different angles & perspectives while ensuring your home exceeds our criteria in regards to being Move in ready for you. You will also have constant communication with your leasing associate to assist you with utility connection, loading zone reservations, and overall ensuring that you have a great move-in experience.


Do you have on-site maintenance?

The Lights at Northwinds offers our very own in-house Service Team to maintain the community. We also offer 24/7 maintenance for maintenance emergencies that require a rapid response.


What happens if i am locked out?

For apartment home lockouts, we recommend contacting a local locksmith that offers 24/7 services.


What amenities does the property offer?

The Lights at Northwinds offers the best amenities in Alpharetta! Come enjoy our sky lounge with complimentary coffee bar, outdoor gas fireplace and air hockey table.  We offer a 24/7 fitness center, resident lobby, and conference room with free wi-fi for all your work-from-home needs.  We have a sparkling year-round pool, lounging courtyard with gas grills, full-service Paw Spa, dog park, sundries pantry, and electric vehicle charging stations!


Is your community pet-friendly?

Yes, we are pet-friendly.  We allow up to 2 pets per home with a maximum combined weight limit of 80 lbs and the following breed restrictions:  Akita, American Bull Dog, American Pit Bull Terrier, American or Bull Staffordshire Terrier, Bull Mastiff, Cane Corso, Chow, Dalmatian, Doberman Pincher, Dogo, German Shepherd, Husky, Malamute, Neapolitan Mastiff, Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Spitz, Stafford Terrier, Presa Canarios, Toso Inu and Wolf-Dog Hybrid.  Pet fees and rent do apply.  Please contact the leasing office for further details.  


Do you offer furnished apartments?

We do not offer furnished apartments.


What are my options for paying my rent?

For your convenience, we offer paperless electronic payments on our online resident portal.


Which provider can I use for internet and cable?

The Lights at Northwinds offers AT&T, Xfinity, or Google Fiber.


How do I set up my utilities?

Your management team will connect your water and sewer for you.  Numbers for Georgia Power and internet/cable providers are listed on your welcome letter you will receive shortly after your application is approved.  


Is there public transportation within close proximity of the buildings?

No, The Lights at Northwinds has no public transportation spots next to our community but we are located directly off Route 400 for easy access north or south.


How do i get to your community?

The Lights at Northwinds is located at 6000 Summit Place, Alpharetta, GA 30009.  We are easily accessible off Route 400 via exit 9 for Haynes Bridge Road.  


Do i have to be present for a service technician to perform work?

As a resident of The Lights at Northwinds we want you to enjoy your living experience.  When submitting a service request our team will use a controlled-access key to access your apartment.  You do not have to be home for your maintenance request to be completed unless you choose to be.  Please let us know your preference when submitting a service request.


An item in my unit needs repair. how do i get help?

The Lights at Northwinds firmly believes in offering convenient services for our residents.  You can submit a service request directly from our personalized resident app.  Any service requests submitted online go directly to our service team.  For after-hours and weekend emergencies, please call our office at 678-919-7500 to be connected to our answering service who will page maintenance to assist you.


Is parking available?

The Lights at Northwinds offers covered parking inside our gated parking garage.  Residents can park in any open space in the garage or pay for a reserved parking space for $100/month.


During which time periods are the pools and decks available for use?

Our pools and Decks are available from 7 AM - 10 PM Daily.


What appliances are standard?

Our standardized appliance package offers all stainless-steel appliances, including Full sized washer and dryer, smart thermostats, Glass top ovens, overhead microwaves, ventilation fans, and Side- by-Side french Refrigerator.


How long does it take for an application to be approved?

When reviewing your application, we request 3 business days to thoroughly review all residency applications.


Am I required to purchase renter's insurance?

For your protection, we require all residents to have renters’ insurance coverage.


If my situation changes, can I get out of my lease?

At The Lights at Northwinds, we understand that life has its obstacles at times.  For that reason, we do offer an option for early lease termination.  We require a 60 day written notice and a 1 month lease break fee if you need to move earlier than the end of your lease term.


Which utilities are included in my rent?

Your rent will only cover the apartment home in which you occupy. All utilities will be billed in addition to your rent based on your usage. (Water and Sewer)


Which school district are you in?
The Lights at Northwinds is zoned for Fulton County Schools which includes Manning Oaks Elementary, Northwestern Middle School and Milton High School.
